Confession

This may seem odd, but the saddest scene of season 5 for me was in 5x07 when Gwen told Merlin that she wants to have a hot bath and then Merlin says “Certainly, my lady.” Merlin’s expression in the scene broke my heart. I saw Merlin’s heart break in a million pieces. And you can say it’s because Gwen was enchanted, but it seemed like something more. All the times when Gwen tried to hide her small crush on him and the time when she asked him to remember her, were gone. It was like he knew that one of his best friend was gone, not because she was enchanted, but because she was a queen now, just asking a servant to get her hot water.
